What is GrowAway?

GrowAway provides Growth-Focused Co-Live-Away Experiences for Men & Women to Activate Highest Self, Elevate Frequency, and Expand their Human Experience through Supportive Community, Aligned Environment, and a High-Level Holistic Lifestyle.

Is it similar to a Retreat?

While GrowAway shares some similarities with retreats, such as traveling to exotic locations with like-minded growth-seekers, there are a few key differences:

Concept

Retreats are shorter experiences

that can spark inspiration and transformation where GrowAway is designed to be the place where the actual transformation happens. A place for growth-seekers to continue their personal growth journeys while connecting with like-minded humans in an enjoyable environment.

Length

Retreats are more of a brief getaway where GrowAway is more of a short-term live-away experience. Retreats typically last a few days to a week where GrowAway experiences range from one to three months, with an option to come on as a co-facilitator for those who wish to stay longer.

Cost

Retreats can be costly, ranging from $3K-$7K for a few days, where GrowAway offers a flexible, build-your-own-adventure model with a much more economical entry point, with options for participants to upgrade their experience should they choose.

Dates: You are welcome to attend anytime during the 3-month period with a minimum 1-month commitment. Considering these are high-season months and there is limited accommodation, accommodation will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Accommodation: Centrally located, clean, boutique-style, furnished studio apartment with A/C, kitchen, and private bathroom, outdoor patio area with table and hammock.

About Santa Catalina:

Santa Catalina is a small, charming coastal town located on the Pacific coast of Panama in the province of Veraguas. It’s renowned for its laid-back vibe, world-class surfing, and access to incredible natural beauty, including the pristine Coiba National Park. Here are some key highlights about Santa Catalina: Surfers Paradise Santa Catalina is one of Panama’s top surf spots and home to one of the top five waves in all of Latin America. It has consistent waves all year round, attracting surfers from around the world. The main surf spot is La Punta, where advanced surfers enjoy the powerful right-hand breaks. There are also beginner-friendly waves at nearby beaches like Playa Estero and Town Beach. Coiba National Park Santa Catalina is the main gateway to Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Coiba Island is the largest island in Central America and boasts one of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems in the world. It’s a popular spot for snorkeling, scuba diving, and wildlife watching. The waters around the park are known for their healthy coral reefs, large schools of fish, turtles, rays, and even sharks. Diving The diving around Santa Catalina is world-class, especially in Coiba National Park. Divers can experience an abundance of marine life, including whale sharks, mantas, dolphins, and humpback whales (which migrate through the area from July to October). The dive sites around Isla Coiba are especially famous for the rich biodiversity. Humpback Whale Watching The region is one of the best places in Panama to see humpback whales, especially between July and October. These massive creatures migrate through the waters off Panama's Pacific coast to breed and give birth. Remote and Authentic Santa Catalina has retained much of its remote, untouched charm. It’s not as developed as some other tourist destinations in Panama, which adds to its appeal for travelers looking for a more authentic, laid-back experience. Outdoor Activities Beyond surfing and diving, Santa Catalina offers many other outdoor activities. You can enjoy horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, or hiking along the beautiful coastline. The nearby Estero Beach is also great for walking, especially at low tide when the sand stretches out wide. Getting Here Yes, it takes a bit of effort to get here—a 5-6 hour scenic drive from Panama City—but that’s what makes Santa Catalina so special. It’s still off the beaten path, untouched by mass tourism. Once you arrive, you’ll understand why those who find their way here call it “Panama’s best-kept secret.”

The region is known for mole dishes, fresh seafood, and tlayudas—giant, crispy tortillas topped with beans, cheese, and meat. Yoga & Wellness: The peaceful atmosphere makes Puerto Escondido ideal for yoga retreats. Many beachfront studios offer sunrise or sunset classes with ocean views, encouraging travelers to unwind and find balance. The Soul of Puerto Escondido Puerto Escondido is a place that invites you to slow down and savor every moment. About GrowAway

The other night, during a crazy storm and subsequent power outage, I found myself lying in bed, scrolling through old photos on my phone. With nothing else to do, I began sifting through images from years past. As I scrolled deeper into my photo library, I kept stumbling upon pictures of me with groups of people—old friends, members of communities I’d built in various places around the world where I had lived. And then it hit me: Holy shit, I've been doing this for years without even realizing it. I never did it for profit or business. I did it to find my people. To meet like-minded humans that I could genuinely connect with. I did it because I valued community, connection, and camaraderie. I did it because I knew there were many incredible humans out there, walking their own paths and fighting their battles in isolation. I did it because I believed that through community, not only would our personal journeys become more enjoyable, but the chances of us reaching our individual goals would increase exponentially. As I look back on how quickly these communities grew, I realized I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. In fact, there are millions of us: • Creatives • Visionaries • Impact-makers • World-changers • Lightworkers • People who feel misaligned with their environment • People who don’t relate to the people around them • People who want more out of this live-only-to-work experience • People who want a deeper connection—to the planet, to others, and to themselves • People who want to tune into their most authentic and energetic being Incredible humans, all looking for their place in the world—and for their tribe. I realized then that GrowAway wasn’t just some idea that popped into my head out of nowhere. It’s a vision I’ve been building subconsciously for over a decade—through all the communities I’ve created over the years. It’s the next natural step in a journey that’s about connecting, supporting, and growing, together. Isn’t it funny how the universe works sometimes? All these years of connecting with like-minded individuals, entrepreneurs, and change-makers around the world made me realize that there was a deeper need for these kinds of spaces. Spaces where people can come together, grow, and support each other in real ways. That’s how GrowAway was born. It’s not just another community. It’s a place where we gather to grow, to challenge ourselves, and to help one another realize our biggest dreams. It’s about creating a supportive, aligned environment where growth happens—together. I believe that when we come together in this way, we unlock our true potential—both personally and as a community. GrowAway is my vision for a place where people can find their tribe and create a life they love, surrounded by those who understand their mission and vision. The journey to building GrowAway has only just begun, and I’m beyond excited to share it with you. If you’re someone who’s ready to connect with like-minded, growth-focused individuals who want to take their journey to the next level, I invite you to join us. Together, we can create something truly transformative—and the best part? We’re just getting started. To finding our tribe, exploring the world, and growing together.
